Walk to unlock
your apps.
Pico blocks the apps that eat your day and gives them back when you walk. Every step you take becomes Energy. Spend it on your apps, or save it and see how far you get.
For iPhone · Uses Apple Health and Screen Time · Nothing leaves your phone
Three steps. Then lots more steps.
Pico isn't a timer you can dismiss. Your apps stay locked until you've walked for them.
Choose what to block
Pick the apps that pull you in. Pico uses Apple's Screen Time to keep them locked, and never sees which apps they are.
Walk to earn Energy
Pico reads your steps from Apple Health. Every 100 steps you walk becomes 1 Energy, all day, wherever you go.
Spend it when you want
Unlock your apps for 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes. When the time's up they lock again, and it's back to your feet.
No time for a walk? Drop and do some push-ups.
Stand your phone up on the floor in front of you, facing you, and Pico counts every push-up with the camera. Each one earns Energy straight away.
- Your difficulty is set in the app, and it also decides how long each Energy unlocks your apps for.
- The camera picture is checked on your iPhone and thrown away. Nothing is recorded or sent.
- Puzzle pieces are still earned by walking, so your worlds stay a reward for your steps.
Prefer the floor? Sit-ups count too.
Stand your phone up to one side of you, so the camera sees you side on, and Pico counts every sit-up. Same Energy as push-ups, earned the moment you lie back down.
- A sit-up counts when your shoulders come all the way up and then back down to the floor, so half-crunches don't count.
- It's the same difficulty and the same rates as push-ups, so you can mix the two.
- The camera picture is checked on your iPhone and thrown away. Nothing is recorded or sent.
Every walk fills in a picture.
Reach your daily step goal and you earn puzzle pieces. Complete a puzzle to unlock a new world for Pico to live in, from the forest to the arctic.
Forest 12/12
Ocean 9/12
Desert 5/12
Arctic
Jungle
Savanna
Wetlands
MountainOne piece for every day you hit your goal.
Each world is a 12-piece jigsaw. Reach your daily step goal and Pico hands you a piece to place. Finish the picture and a new world opens up.
Nothing leaves your iPhone.
Pico has no servers, no account and no analytics. It was built so there's nothing to leak.
- Your steps are read from Apple Health on your phone and never sent anywhere.
- Your screen time and blocked apps stay inside Apple's Screen Time system. Pico can't see them.
- Push-ups and sit-ups are counted from the camera live on your phone. No video or photos are ever saved.
- Payments go through Apple. We never see your name, email or card.
- Optional iCloud backup keeps your progress in your own iCloud account, never on our side.
You might ask…
Can't I just delete Pico to get my apps back?
You can, and that's the point: it takes effort, so you're making a real decision rather than a reflex tap. Most people find that a short walk is easier than giving up on themselves.
Does Pico see what I do on my phone?
No. Apple's Screen Time system draws your screen time and top apps directly onto Pico's screens. Those numbers never reach Pico, and the apps you block are stored as private tokens Pico can't read.
Which steps count?
Anything Apple Health records: your iPhone in your pocket, an Apple Watch, or another tracker that syncs to Health. Pico only reads steps and never writes to Health.
How does Pico count push-ups and sit-ups? Does it record me?
Apple's built-in body tracking finds your shoulders, elbows and hips in each camera frame, right on your iPhone. Pico counts a push-up when your arms bend and then straighten again, and a sit-up when your shoulders come up and then back down to the floor. Each frame is thrown away straight after, so nothing is recorded, saved or sent.
What if I need an app urgently?
You choose what to block, so essentials like Phone, Messages and Maps can stay off the list. And you can always spend Energy you've already earned.
Which iPhones does Pico work on?
Pico needs an iPhone running iOS 17 or later, with Apple Health and Screen Time available.
